What is myBeautyGallery? +

myBeautyGallery is Nigeria's #1 beauty marketplace — an all-in-one platform combining Instagram-style discovery, professional booking, e-commerce, and beauty education. It connects beauty professionals (makeup artists, hair stylists, nail technicians, wig sellers, skincare specialists, and more) with clients across Nigeria.

Is myBeautyGallery free to use? +

Yes! myBeautyGallery offers a Free For Life plan for beauty vendors that includes unlimited posts, unlimited services, booking management, analytics, and a featured listing on the marketplace. There is no monthly subscription fee.

Optional paid services include boosting posts for increased visibility and the Beauty Academy for selling courses.

How do I create an account? +

Visit mybeautygallery.com/register and fill in your business details. After registration, you'll receive an activation email. Click the link to activate your account and start setting up your profile. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.

Who can join myBeautyGallery? +

Any beauty professional or business in Nigeria can join, including:

  • Makeup artists & bridal MUAs
  • Hair stylists & braiding professionals
  • Nail technicians
  • Wig sellers & hair vendors
  • Skincare specialists & aestheticians
  • Lash & brow technicians
  • Beauty retailers & supply stores

Can I join if I was referred by another vendor? +

Yes! If a vendor shared their referral link with you, use that link to register. The referring vendor earns ₦2,000 promo credit when you complete registration (V2V affiliate programme). Product brands referred by vendors earn the vendor a 10% recurring commission on ad spend (V2B programme).

How do I set up my vendor profile? +

After activating your account, go to Dashboard → Edit Profile. Fill in your business name, category, description, location, working hours, and social media handles. Upload your logo and a cover banner photo. Then go to Services to add your service menu with prices.

A complete profile gets significantly more views and bookings.

How do I upload portfolio photos? +

Go to Dashboard → Portfolio. Click Add Post and upload your photos or videos. Add a caption, tag the service type, and set a price if it's a product. Your posts appear on your public profile and on the main myBeautyGallery discovery feed where potential clients can find you.

How does the boosting/sponsored post feature work? +

Go to Dashboard → Boost Post. Select the post you want to promote, choose a boost duration (3, 7, 14, or 30 days), and pay via Paystack. Boosted posts get priority placement at the top of the discovery feed with a "Sponsored" badge, giving them significantly more impressions and clicks.

Can I use a custom domain for my profile? +

Yes! Enterprise plan vendors can configure a custom domain (e.g., yourbeautyname.com) to point to their myBeautyGallery vendor profile. Contact us at hello@mybeautygallery.com to set this up.

How do I refer other vendors and earn credits? +

Go to Dashboard → Affiliate Programme. Copy your unique V2V referral link and share it with other beauty professionals. When they register and activate their account using your link, you earn ₦2,000 promo credit that you can use towards boosting your posts.

👤 For Clients
Do I need an account to browse beauty vendors? +

No — you can browse the discovery feed, view vendor profiles, and see portfolios without creating an account. However, you'll need to register as a visitor to make a booking, save favourite vendors, or leave a review.

How do I find a beauty vendor near me? +

Use the search bar on the homepage to filter by service type, city, or state. You can also use the "Near Me" location filter which uses your city-level location (we do not access your precise GPS location) to show vendors in your area.

How do I leave a review for a vendor? +

After your service is marked as completed by the vendor, you'll receive a prompt to leave a review. You can also visit the vendor's profile and click Testimonials → Write a Review. Reviews are visible immediately after submission unless the vendor has enabled moderation.

📅 Bookings
How do I book a service? +

Visit the vendor's public profile and click 📅 Book a Service. Select your service, choose a date and time from their available slots, fill in your details, and pay the required deposit via Paystack to confirm. You'll receive an email and SMS confirmation immediately.

Can I reschedule or cancel a booking? +

Rescheduling is subject to the vendor's cancellation policy. Each vendor sets their own policy (e.g., free reschedule if requested 48+ hours before the appointment). You can find the cancellation policy on the booking confirmation page and in your booking confirmation email. Contact the vendor directly via WhatsApp for reschedule requests.

What happens if a vendor doesn't show up? +

If a vendor fails to honour a confirmed booking, contact us at support@mybeautygallery.com within 24 hours. We will investigate and, where applicable, process a refund of your deposit. Vendors with repeated no-shows may be suspended from the platform.

💳 Payments
What payment methods are accepted? +

Payments are processed securely through Paystack (for Nigerian transactions in ₦) and Stripe (for international card payments). Accepted methods include debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and USSD payments.

Is my payment information safe? +

Yes. We never store your full card details on our servers. All payment data is handled directly by Paystack or Stripe, which are PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. We only receive transaction reference numbers and amounts.

When do vendors receive their payment? +

Our platform operates on a split-payment model. When a client pays a deposit, the platform retains a small commission (currently 1%) and the remainder is settled to the vendor's bank account. Settlement timelines follow Paystack's standard schedule (typically 1–3 business days).

🎓 Beauty Academy
What is the Beauty Academy? +

The myBeautyGallery Beauty Academy is a built-in e-learning platform where beauty professionals can create and sell video courses. Students can learn makeup artistry, hair styling, nail art, skincare techniques, and more directly on the platform.

How do I enrol in a course? +

Browse courses on the Academy section of the platform or via a vendor's public profile. Click Enrol Now, complete payment, and gain immediate access to all course videos. You can watch at your own pace and download certificates upon completion.

Can I sell my own courses on the Academy? +

Yes! Any vendor can create and sell courses via Dashboard → Academy → Create Course. Upload your video lessons, set a price, create a quiz, and publish. The platform handles payments and certificate generation automatically.

⚙️ Technical
Is there a mobile app? +

myBeautyGallery is a mobile-first Progressive Web App (PWA). You can add it to your home screen from your browser for a native app-like experience on both Android and iOS — no app store download required. A dedicated app is on our roadmap.

How do I delete my account? +

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Danger Zone and follow the account deletion process. You must type "DELETE" and enter your password to confirm. This action is irreversible — all your data including bookings, portfolio, reviews, and client history will be permanently removed. Alternatively, email hello@mybeautygallery.com for manual deletion.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it? +

Click Forgot Password on the login page, enter your registered email address, and we'll send a password reset link. The link is valid for 1 hour. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support@mybeautygallery.com.
